Getting ready for Bratislava trip…

I’m here at home packing for the upcoming trip to Bratislava…well, actually we’re staying at Budapest Atlantic Hotel for the first 3 days, before going to Hotel Astra in Bratislava. The first hotel, Atlantic hotel is a 3-star hotel, and is a building in the middle of the street. From the website photos, it looks quite new. They also provide a Buffet Breakfast, luggage room and safe facilites for free, WiFi possibilities in lobby and restaurant, and in a lot of rooms. I’m not exactly sure about the second hotel, although I know that it is, too, a 3-star hotel. I’ve also read that the staff are not very fluent in english and very nervous. Anyway, I’m looking forward to this trip as I’ll be able to complete 2 tasks-

-do a survey on people on Bratislava about their tastes(refer to previous posts)

-restrain myself from my laptop for 11 days(I know its hard, but I have train myself for when school reopens, I’ll have to focus on my schoolwork)

So I guess I won’t be posting for the next 11 days(there goes 11 days of my runescape membership too), but I’ll still bring my DS. Here are two valid reasons-

-The chances of my DS getting found by my parents are high(oh yeah, I actually took my DS from my parents without them knowing), and even higher than my DS getting stolen or lost during my trip.

-The DS is not addictive. It is fun, but only for awhile. It acts more like a stress reliever and gets boring after a while(which is why I only played my DS once in the last 3 weeks).

AND here’s an invalid reason-

-I just downloaded Pokemon Ranger 2 and wanted to test it out.

Here’s what I’ve done:

-I have successfully packed my room to make space for more new books. Here’s what I’ve NOT done:

-I have not finished putting up Christmas decorations around the house.

-I have not completed what a certain verse in the Bible said: To love and not to judge.

I guess that is all, will be back in 11 days!(photos, must remember photos…)

Went to help out at animation lab today

I was awoken today by a call from Mr Finosh. He was asking…or rather, begging me to go help out with their project at the animation lab, but I was tired and didn’t feel like going. He was persistent and sounded desperate and kep on saying that he needed more manpower. In the end, it took him 15 minutes to convince me to go and help out.

It was not until I got there that he told me he had an ulterior motive for asking me to go. He wanted to hire me. Yes, that’s right. He wanted to make use of my computer knowledge. He knew all along that I was hacking the school computers, so he figured that he would get me involved in enhancing the secuirity of the school, in hope that I would give up hacking. Well, he half-succeeded. I promised that I would help out with the school secuirity, but I will not give up hacking. I will increase my knowledge further, with some help from google. Of course, I won’t be idiotic enough to cause harm and damage to my own secuirity system that I’m installing on the school(by the way, its Linux), but I’ll most definitely give myself special privileges.

Anyways, while I was there, I helped design their CCA logo, website and helped remix the introduction soundtrack. Too bad I won’t be able to go next week as I have to go on the choir trip, but I don’t think it’ll be necessary, since the workshop has been cancelled and they will be doing the same thing as what they did today.

One last note: I seem to be using alot of Windows Live services, such as Messenger, Mail and Spaces. Next thing I know, I’ll be using Live Search. . . ok, maybe not, I’m sticking to Google

Concerning choir trip to Bratislava

Looks like my plan to convince the teachers-in-charge(that is Ms Gan & Mrs Leong) to let me bring my laptop to Bratislava has failed. Not only did I not manage to convince them, they have managed to convince me not to bring it…I don’t exactly consider that a loss, since they have managed to convince me, but I’m planning to convince them to let me bring my DS. Perhaps, I could establish an agreement with them on when I could play the DS and when not to play, so that they would feel more secure knowing that I would still pay attention to my group. I am, after all, the group leader.

Another problem that I have is sharing a room with Barnabus during the trip. Barnabus, in my opinion, is quite a nice boy, but he is too eccentric and hyperactive, and often asks ridiculous questions which makes you confused or makes you stare at him with a "duh.." look. He is childish and immature, who always shouts "Yay!" or "Rock On!" or "Awesome!" or "Cool, man!" or…you get the point. And he smiles ALL the time, which is kinda creepy. So I have to decide between these two solutions –
-Convince Ms Gan to let me swap rooms with someone else, which I think is highly unlikely to succeed, since she has already made it clear that we cannot swap rooms.
-Get used to Barnabus, which I think is IMPOSSIBLE…No matter, I think I’ll try. (If I don’t make it out alive, I’m giving my DS to christopher)

Topic: Taste Buds – genetics or through lifestyle?
I’ve been thinking about this topic for the whole day and I have found evidence supporting both sides so I don’t have a conclusion.
The evidence
-Taste Buds are from genetics, passed from one generation to another, which explains why we have different food all over the world and why most foreigners don’t like the taste of Durians.
-Taste Buds are developed through lifestyle. Taste buds act as a transmitter of different tastes to the brain, and the Taste Buds DNA can be altered according to what we eat from young.

I think I’ll have to interview some people from Singapore, and then some from the Bratislava trip.

Why I’ve decided to blog

I know that I have never started a personal blog before.
I know that even though I, have been invited to contribute at other blogs such as TGOA, 2B08 and Saint’s Choir, I have never posted anything about my personal life. That was because, everything I knew was to be kept a secret, so that I could increase my knowledge in my interests…at least that was how I saw it. After all, knowledge is power, so why share it?
However, I recently discovered a major flaw in this system – it is majorly frustrating to have an inspiration or a solution striking you at one point, only to have you forget it a few minutes later. So I’ve decided to keep track of my life, inspirations, discoveries and flaws, in hope that I might improve on them. What I post here is free for all to see, but not everyone will understand it. But why on a blog? Why not on Word or Notepad? Cause a blog is mobile and far more interesting.

So let me get this straight
This is My life, My data, and My headquarters where I can plot, scheme, and practice my Freedom of Speech…and no one, yes, no one, not even the PAP government can stop me. When I get ideas, I write them here, no matter how nonsensical it may seem. That is all…for now.
